Full Description
Explore the wonders of the ancient Roman city of Baia, the Roman city where luxury was the standard, that is today in part underwater due to the strong volcanic activity of the Phlegrean Fields, the geological area we are inside of.

The phenomenon called bradisism made the earth level slowly sink down over the years, so today the Roman Villas that were in front of the sea are about 4 meters underwater, and the sea has preserved them to us in a marvellous way.

As soon as you decide to start you will be given a form to assess whether a medical certificate will be needed or not, and a brief e-learning that anticipates the things you will need to know. Once you arrive at our Diving Center you will attend a short theoretical lesson conducted by our instructors, to best explain the basic knowledge of diving, the equipment and how to behave in the water. You will know all you need to be safe and to enjoy each second of your dive!

We will provide you with all of the equipment you need, you will only need to bring your swimming suit, a towel and some clean clothes to get changed afterwards if you wish to. Once we're ready we will go by boat to the Archaeological Park of Baia where we will admire ancient mosaics, statues, marble floors and all of the ancient structures of the Roman city of Baia (beloved by emperors and senators) and of course the sea life that populates it today! The dive will last approximately 45 minutes, following one of the visit routes predisposed by the Park, and our instructors will always be by your side, holding you by hand, to give you the best support and help possible, and to ensure you live an unforgettable experience!

After the dive we will return to the Diving Center, where you will have at your disposal showers and changing rooms, and usually some refreshments are not missing.

After this experience your instructor will certificate that you have done it, and it counts as a first dive of a PADI Open Water Diver Course.

Entry to other archeological sites that we will be seeing and talking about from a distance is not included (eg the Castle of Baia or the Terme of Baia), entrance costs approximately 5 euros.
Entry to the Temple of Venus, which we will see from outside very close, but is currently closed to the public for visits.

Once you have completed the booking procedure, our staff will send you a link to register and fill out a medical form. Based on the replies a medical examination may be required.
In the event that the visit cannot be carried out before the scheduled day of the dive, you will be refunded the booking amount according to the cancellation policy.
The Park of Baia has different visit routes, and we will be visiting only one of them at a time (each lasts about one hour), if you have any preference on what you wish to see you can tell us and we will do our best to schedule it.

The Discover Scuba Diving is a first try dive, no license is required and the minimum age to participate is ten years old, the program is set to the PADI standards.

Before our meeting

You will receive an email or a message with instructions to create a PADI account. There will be some forms to fill out, among which there is the one determining the need or not for a medical certificate (that you can check above). After the forms you will find the short elearning that will have to be completed before our meeting in Baia.

This usually takes only 10/15 minutes, but we highly recommend checking emails and doing it as soon as possible, in order to be able to solve any problems that may arise.
